Summer gave us many season activities here at the church.  From June 11 through June 15, we hosted Vacation Bible School with the program entitled "Avalanche Ranch".  The children did Bible Point crafts, played exciting games, heard thrilling Bible stories, ate tasty snacks and listened to unforgettable music.

The First Presbyterian Church again hosted the Special Needs Summer Camp for two weeks running from June 19 thru June 21 and June 25 thru June 28.  The participants learned about life skills like cooking and manners.  They also had studies on plants, reptiles and participated everyday in some type of exercise including walking and yoga.

The holidays brought us a beautiful church this year as seen in the pictures below.  The annual Christmas program was about the 4 Sundays of Advent. 

The Lenten season has arrived.  The community Ash Wednesday service was held here at First Presbyterian Church.  Members of the First United Methodist Church and the First Christian Church also participated with our church.

Palm Sunday service begins at 10:30 am with the Palm Procession and includes the reading of the Passion of Christ.  After worship, Session will be hosting Palm Sunday Brunch.  All friends and visitors are invited to worship service and brunch.

Our annual Maundy Thursday Seder begins at 6:00 pm on March 20th, 2008.  We will be having a Passover Haggadah service and Seder meal.  All members of the community are invited.

Our Easter Celebration Service will be Sunday, March 23, 2008 at 10:30 am.  

March 22 is the date for our annual we blood drive sponsored by the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center.  Please call the church office at 815-875-1306 if you are interested in making a donation.
